TELLY duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan had been battered by the “worst storms” ever to hit Nova Scotia in Canada – insisting it was like dwelling in a “catastrophe film.”
The Scots couple are again on UK screens for the primary time in over a decade in Channel 5’s Lodge Hell as they renovate and reopen a 22-bedroom lodging within the Canadian province.
However the pair had been compelled to hunker down as 99mph winds from Storm Fiona hit the North Atlantic shoreline on the weekend, with the nation’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau describing the state of affairs as “important.”
Colin stated: “We’ve by no means felt so scared – it was like dwelling in a catastrophe film.
“The home was shaking and we actually noticed a picnic bench swirl up within the air and disappear.
“Our whole floor flooring was flooded and the previous lobster pound crushed and flattened by the ocean and wind’s power – it was torn aside as if it was manufactured from paper.


“We stayed within the seaside home on the cliff edge and it creaked and groaned and shook – and we did too.”
And Justin joked: “If it wasn’t already Colin and Justin’s Lodge Hell – it actually is now.”
The doorway to Colin and Justin’s North Star Lodge within the city of Louisbourg was blocked by fallen electrical energy poles and fallen cables.
Colin stated: “We might have been battered by probably the most unforgiving climate however what was actually upsetting was to see the utter devastation in our little city of Louisbourg.
“So far as we all know there have been no accidents. And the harm to properties and companies, we think about, is fixable. However the city will rise once more of that we’re certain.”
Storm Fiona isn’t the one catastrophe the showbiz pair have survived after a taxi they had been travelling in final 12 months in Quebec Metropolis was hit side-on by a police patrol automotive on an emergency name.
